January favourites and major haul!

Before I jump right in to this huge post I just wanted to say sorry for not posting for such a long time, from the last post I done to now has been absolutely non-stop with uni, work, shopping (most important) and some exciting opportunities, but don't worry all will be explained!

To kick start this baby I am going to show you some pictures from over Christmas, along with what I got of course!

This is a compilation of all the gifts I received (minus the best one). These are a mixture of gifts from my boyfriend, parents and best friend

From my parents
 - I got a vintage mirror from this little boutique near my house,
- A Louis Vuitton Cosmetic Pouch in Monogram for all those essentials,
- A Louis Vuitton Key Pouch in Monogram, because I'm always losing my keys
- A Hermés Dogon Wallet in Orange Togo leather
- A Louis Vuitton key charm (which I gave to my mum, too girly for me)

From my Boyfriend
- I got some new converses (which were WELL needed)
- A Louis Vuitton Koala Wallet in Damier Azur
- Some Diesel aftershave
- And the best gift of all; tickets to go see The Bodyguard in the Adelfi Theater in the Westend
There is quite a lot of meaning behind the film The Bodyguard so it was an incredibly thoughtful gift, I'm a lucky boy!

From my best friend- I received a Botanics skincare kit
- And I also received a gift card (which isn't in the picture!)

However......this was possibly the greatest Christmas present I have ever received, my  mum and dad wrapped up a note with the order invoice in a great big box. The note just said ''it's on it's way'' and upon looking at the invoice I could see he had ordered a Hermés Birkin in Orange Togo Leather, I was over the MOON! I was so excited, and still am. I am still waiting for the bag to arrive, I think that he purchased the bag from one of those American authentic birkin sellers on eBay as the bag is waiting to clear customs (as its from overseas) so it should be with me soon hopefully! But I will be sure to post a reveal when the bag arrives!

Here are just a few pictures from Christmas
Me and my Dad cooking Christmas day (well he was doing majority of the cooking as you can probably guess)

This is my favourite picture, the most important people in my life xx

This is my little man! My cousin, Jacob who's 3 nearly 4 and is my bestest friend and like a brother to me

Now on to January! This month has been a bit of a whirl wind, with me starting up uni again and the snow, I've not had much time to take many pictures but I got a few to show you guys...

This was taken just the other day but I had to include it! This just sums up our friendship perfectly, we are always messing about and she is the closest friend I've got, literally like a sister to me

This is the view from my bedroom, I'm lucky that I look out onto the countryside but it looks so beautiful all white, I know that sound cliché and in all honesty I hate the snow but this photo is beautiful

This is my sisters mad dog (I call her my sister, Alex, the girl in the photo above but one of this one)

This I took when we was travelling back from a weekend away in January just after Christmas

And now for the MAJOR haul, all the things I picked up in the sales from Christmas till now from clothes to skincare to brushes! Enjoy...

I know, I know, how gay...I bought foundation. Well, let me explain; if you have read my previous posts you will see how much I rave about Avon Magix Face Perfector primer, so when reading some tips and tricks someone mentioned this product for covering up and concealing spots. So seeing as my skin is quite acne/blemish prone I thought I'd give it a try. I got this for £7.99 from Boots. I apply Avon Magix Face Perfector (which is absolutely amazing) then I apply this foundation with the brush I purchased from MAC and it glides on, leaves a really natural dewy look and conceals my spots, also due to the Avon primer it lasts all day. A great buy if you ask me!
This is the brush I mentioned before from MAC, its MAC 187 brush if you're wondering. I picked this one up for £32.50 a bit pricey I know but it will last me for a long time. The brush is really soft and it feels as thought your foundation isn't gonna blend well because it's so soft but believe me it blends really well and looks natural, you can still see your pores and your skins natural shine (I like my skin to look matte and my pores small but not to the point where it looks as though I don't actually have pores, and where my skin is so matte it looks dull. A little dewy-ness is good)
This was something I actually picked up off eBay for a STEAL! I purchased this for £20.00 from an American seller and it took a few days to arrive but I absolutely love it. It's a microdermabrasion system from neutrogena, it comes with 12 'puffs' for you to use and it really exfoliates the skin and leaves it so smooth and soft, it's also great for diminishing any imperfections, large pores or wrinkles so it is really worth the money!
This is probably my favourite purchase that I picked up in the sales, well this wasn't really in a sale (its Hermés after all) but I got an email from eBay reminding me that I was watching this item and that there were sales all around eBay...SO I logged on to my eBay and saw this wallet was only £75!!! There were only a few bids so I sat glued to my laptop waiting till the listing ended and I won! So excited for this beauty to be delivered
This purchase was something I didn't actually want to buy but felt I needed it. My skin flared up just before I went back to uni, I figured it was due to stress, so I changed my skincare routine...big mistake. My skin flared up even more from the change I made and doesn't seem to be going away only getting worse. I saw an advert for ProActiv on the TV and decided I'd give it a go, I picked up this set at £29.98 from the New Year sale. I will upload a review on my YouTube account (mitchwebb1) when I'm a month in
I desperately needed some new black jeans, my ones I got from Primark have worn out (probably because they are from Primark) so I got myself some new ones from New Look at £9.99 with an added 20% discount!
Whilst I was browsing through New Look I also saw these babies, at £19.99, remembering my 20% discount I decided I'd pick up these jeans too for the transition from winter into spring
I picked up this Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with from Boots on Oxford Street for around £19.00. I would say that it isn't a harsh enough exfoliant to use as a weekly skincare step however it is great as a daily cleanser (only once a day, twice is too harsh) I would use this in the morning then a cleansing foam/gel in the evening. This is also not at all drying to the skin, leaves it perfectly cleansed

I got this moisturiser from a website www.escentual.com which is a discount luxury skincare and beauty brand site, it sells authentic beauty brands such as Clarins, Dior or L'Occitane at a discounted price. This cream-gel sells for £20.00 in stores but I got it for £16.00 from Escentual. It gives good hydration and leaves a matte finish and the smell is amazing

If you know a thing or two about beauty you will have heard of this product! It is one of the most raved about beauty products there is. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm can be used as a primer or a mask. Most people wouldn't dream of using it as a mash seeing as it is a whopping £28.00, would be like washing money down the sink as you wash off the mask! However as a primer this baby works wonders! It really does brighten and tighten, it leaves a glowing matte finish and makeup stays put ALL DAY, which is what every girl wants right?

That concludes today favourites/month in pictures/haul for now. I promise I won't leave it so long before I post next, enjoy the rest of this cold January and I wish you all well
